How do I file a claim?
If a Ladder policyholder passes away, you can file a claim by following the instructions on our Claims page. After you've notified us, a support team member will reach out to the beneficiaries to gather additional information and explain the next steps.
A few tips for our policyholders
- Add beneficiaries to your policy. You can easily do this by going to your account page and navigating to the “Beneficiaries” section. You can also follow the steps explained here: How do I manage my beneficiaries?
- Download and send your "Just in Case" card to your beneficiaries — it includes your policy number and basic information about your policy. You’ll find it in your account under “Account Documents.” It’s important to let your loved ones know you’ve taken this step in helping to protect their future!
- Relax — your loved ones now know you've taken this step to help protect their future.
